Mikulec’s next chapter unfolded at Troika Design Group in Los Angeles, a revered name in entertainment branding. Here, his efforts contributed to significant projects such as the CW network's launch, the introduction of MTV's HD platform, and the design of the 2008 Olympic logo for NBC's Olympic coverage, further cementing his status in the field.

Global Experience and Academic Enrichment

His career took a global turn when he took the helm of the international creative initiative at Frame by Frame in Rome, Italy. This role saw him working with a broad array of clients from Europe to the Middle East, including notable names like Canal+, SKY, and NBC Universal.

The pursuit of knowledge then led him to Yale University, where he earned a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. This period was marked by mentorship from industry luminaries and culminated in the successful pitch for the Fenway Park 100th Anniversary Logo.

Entrepreneurial Endeavors and Consultancy

In the wake of the Fenway Park project, Michael Mikulec established an American branch for Frame by Frame, taking on the roles of Partner and Creative Director. His consultancy spanned various prestigious clients, including ESPN and the Miami Dolphins.

Moreover, his strategic involvement was pivotal in launching Curaleaf's brand, guiding the company through its initial branding, design, and marketing strategy phases.

Returning to freelance work, Michael undertook projects in Los Angeles, working with Fox Sports, among others. His academic roots called him back to SCAD, where he initially served as associate chair before advancing to Department Chair, overseeing a department of unparalleled size worldwide.
